After months of watching the large field of golden grass with its signed pylons waiting at the Green Music Center site, we can at last see heavy equipment and hard-hat workers on the job. Trenches have been dug for electrical, water and gas lines; earth movers have excavated the 15-foot deep pit that will house the concert hall’s foundation. Soon the above-ground work begins, and everyone will welcome the sight of the majestic structure taking shape, rising to its eventual height of 70 feet.

The concert hall, recital hall and music education building will be finished in 2009, but the site work gives definite glimpses of the dream-come-true that is the Green Music Center.
